Santorum: ‘I’d Be Stunned’ at the Idea Trump Team Was ‘Organized Enough to Collude with Anybody’

CNN’s State of the Union panel tackled the ongoing Russia investigations and the question of whether there was collusion with the Trump campaign (something even Maxine Waters said last week she has not seen evidence of).

Rick Santorum said he doesn’t agree with getting a special prosecutor since they “have a history of prosecuting… to justify their existence.”

He talked about the parameters of the investigation shifting and had this to say on the question of collusion:

“From my perspective, having worked with the Trump campaign, I’d be stunned that they were organized enough to collude with anybody.”

At the end of the segment, he also said that Trump’s speech in Saudi Arabia may end up making it hard for opponents of the travel ban to argue in court that the president is a “Muslim-hater.”
