Sarah Huckabee Sanders Criticizes ‘Outrageous Attack’ at Ivanka Over G20 Role

Between questions about President Trump, Russia, and Donald Trump Jr. today, Sarah Huckabee Sanders also condemned the “outrageous attack” on Ivanka Trump at today’s off-camera briefing.

The First Daughter and advisor to the President briefly sat in for her father at a G20 session with other world leaders when he stepped out, which led to a lot of online criticism.

President Trump himself defended his daughter and said the media would have fawned had Chelsea Clinton done the same:

A reporter asked Huckabee Sanders when the President is going to move on from the Clintons. She responded that the tweet “was about responding to an outrageous attack on a White House senior advisor.”

Huckabee Sanders also said that the U.S. should be “proud” that someone with Ivanka’s portfolio was sitting there, saying she would be “constantly celebrated” if not for her last name.
