Sarah Sanders Claims the WH Mass Exodus is No Biggie: ‘A Very Functioning Place of Business’

Wednesday, the White House press corps had their first chance to ask Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders about the resignation of Gary Cohn — President Donald Trump’s economic advisor. And they wasted little time in doing so.

ABC’s Cecilia Vega — one of this White House’s toughest inquisitors — grilled Sanders about the departure, asking why so many people are fleeing the Trump administration. Sanders adopted the ol’ nothing to see here posture.

“This is an intense place, as is every White House,” Sanders said. “And it’s not abnormal that you would have people come and go.”

Vega pressed the White House spokesperson.

“It is actually abnormal. No administration in recent history has had this much turnover,” Vega said. She then asked Sanders, “If this is not the definition of chaotic, how would you describe what’s happening in these recent weeks?”

“The economy is stronger than it’s been in ages,” Sanders said. “ISIS is on the run. Making of the judiciary jobs are coming in at record numbers. There are historic things that have taken place in the first year. Sounds like a very functioning place of business to me.”
