Sarah Sanders Weighs In on Oprah 2020 Talk: ‘I Disagree Very Much on Her Policies’

In the first White House briefing since the Golden Globes, yes, Sarah Huckabee Sanders got questions about Oprah Winfrey.

She was first asked about Ivanka Trump‘s praise of Oprah’s “empowering and inspiring speech” and support for the Time’s Up movement.

Huckabee Sanders said, “Look, I think the message from the White House is obviously that everyone should come together.”

But then the White House press secretary was asked if she has any advice for, say, a known political outsider with an interest in running for president.

This is what she had to say about a potential Oprah 2020 run:

“I’m sure if she decides to run… I’m sure she’ll have help with that… I disagree very much on her policies. Is she a successful individual? Absolutely. But in terms of where she stands on a number of positions, I would find a lot of problems with that.”

It’s unclear which of Oprah’s policies she was referring to.
