Joe Scarborough would like to remind you, for at least the fourth time, that he doesn’t see the purpose in the Senate Intelligence Committee releasing a $40 million report on the CIA’s enhanced interrogation programs.
“You know they went in with conclusions!” he yelled at Huffington Post’s Sam Stein. “They were doing an investigation to actually fit into their conclusions, just like the Rolling Stone author.”
And the examples where torture was deemed unnecessary, but allowed to continue? Hogwash, he says. “In context, I could give you ten other examples. I could give you 20 examples. I could give you 30 examples of people that they released that went back on the battlefield and killed Americans.”
All you really need to turn anyone into a war criminal, argued Scarborough, was $40 million dollars and real-time intelligence. “I could turn Dwight Eisenhower, I could turn General Marshall — I could turn any of them into war criminals,” he continued.
