Scarborough Teaches GOP How to Field Questions About Impeachment

Newly-elected House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) ducked and dodged Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace’s questions about whether the House was considering impeachment charges against President Barack Obama, leading Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough to lead a master class in answering that question.

“What is wrong with him?” Scarborough said, after the loud and thorough demonstration. “[Scalise] is the number three guy! He is not a back bencher! Not a crazy nut like I was. He is a number three ranking Republican in the House of Representatives! And you can’t say no to that? It’s devastating!”

“The most excited person yesterday was [Obama senior advisor] Dan Pfeiffer,” Chuck Todd said. “The fact is Steve Scalise is right. The White House is praying for impeachment. They want this. They see nothing but political upside to this and think a lawsuit frankly is good politics.”

“Then why did he play into their hands, if he knew that’s they wanted?” Scarborough cried. “The answer is no!”
