Schumer Lights Up Trump in Fiery Floor Speech: ‘You Will Not Get Your Wall’

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) gave a speech before Congress to say President Donald Trump cannot erase the fact that he has accepted responsibility if the government ends up shutting down at the end of the day.

“You will not get your wall,” Schumer said.

As Congressional Democrats continue to swat down spending bills which would allocate funding for Trump’s border wall, Schumer blamed Trump for the chaotic state of the country while saying “You are not getting the wall today, next week, or on January 3rd when Democrats take control of the House.” The Senate Minority Leader continued by pointing to Democratic propositions for border security, mocking Trump’s “temper tantrum” over the wall, and remarking on how the president is on record saying he’ll take ownership for the shutdown if it cannot be avoided.

“President Trump, you cannot erase months of video of you saying you wanted a shut down and that you wanted the responsibility and blame for a shut down. President Trump, you own the shut down. You said so in your own words. And, President Trump may get his wish unfortunately. It doesn’t have to be this way.”
