Sean Hannity Asks Whether Michael Cohen Is ‘Really Being Served Well’ After Lanny Davis Backpedaling
During his Monday night opening monologue, Sean Hannity lobbed a few shots at Lanny Davis due to recent questions about his work as Michael Cohen‘s legal representative.
Davis raised a lot of eyebrows in the last few days by hedging on his claim that Cohen has evidence to prove his old boss, President Donald Trump, knew about Russia’s efforts to swing the 2016 election in his favor. As Hannity noted, this as a setback to people hoping for proof of Trump’s collusion, so it raises questions about whether Davis is actually doing Cohen any favors.
“Is Michael Cohen really being served well in this case by his attorney?” Hannity––who came under scrutiny after being revealed as a client of Cohen’s––asked. “As Lanny Davis has said, his client would never accept a pardon from President Trump. Okay, he would rather serve five years in prison? That really was a bad thing for any attorney to say.”
And tonight there’s a new report on Davis backpedaling that doesn’t exactly help things much.
