Sean Hannity: ‘I Think Bill Maher’s Good for America’

Sean Hannity brought Greta Van Susteren and Bob Beckel on his show Tuesday night to tackle Bill Maher‘s big debate on Islam with Ben Affleck. And not only did all three of them side with Maher, but Hannity had some surprising and incredibly unexpected words of praise for Maher (with some qualification, of course).

Hannity made it clear that while he doesn’t care for the comic personally, “I think Bill Maher’s good for America.”

Yes. Someone on Fox News actually said that about Bill Maher. Hannity elaborated, “He’s almost become an iconoclast because he’s willing to speak the truth when so many others in the media are scared to death.”

Van Susteren and Beckel agreed that Muslim leaders need to step up and denounce radical extremists. Beckel in particular agreed with Maher’s point that liberals just aren’t very good about speaking out against backwards beliefs.
