As has been noted for a while, especially by one of the network’s biggest stars, Donald Trump now prefers to deal almost exclusively with a handful of Fox News programs when it comes to cable and broadcast news interviews. Specifically, Hannity, The O’Reilly Factor and Fox & Friends.
During tonight’s broadcast of the Factor, the Republican presidential nominee told host Bill O’Reilly that while he thinks CNN is “totally crooked,” Fox is “pretty good” and he especially likes Sean Hannity and the “guys in the morning.”
“Sean Hannity is a great, great person,” Trump told the Fox News host. “You have some great people and you have some people that frankly don’t treat me fairly, but you’ve been fine.” This must have hit Bill right where it hurts, since it is well-known in the industry that Sean and O’Reilly hate each other.
I think we all know he was speaking about Megyn Kelly as one of the Fox folks who don’t treat him fairly.
So, what was Trump’s assessment of Fox News as a whole? “I would say Fox has been pretty good,” the former reality TV star concluded.
