Sean Hannity: Michael Avenatti Deserves Due Process and the Presumption of Innocence, But…

Fox News’ Sean Hannity tonight addressed the arrest of Michael Avenatti and said he believes Stormy Daniels‘ attorney deserves due process and the presumption of innocence.

But he brought it up while noting Avenatti’s major role in the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings through his representation of Julie Swetnick, whose allegations against Kavanaugh came under scrutiny last month. More recently Senator Chuck Grassley referred Avenatti and Swetnick to the DOJ for criminal investigation over allegedly making false statements.

“I will be consistent on the issues of due process and the presumption of innocence,” Hannity said tonight. “But one can only wonder if now maybe Michael Avenatti would apply the same standard to himself that he had applied to Justice Kavanaugh. Or maybe tonight he would prefer the country give him due process and the presumption of innocence. Or will you lock yourself up and just throw away the key? I believe he deserves presumption of innocence, due process, let the legal system do their job. And hope and pray that the right justice and answer comes through.”
