Sean Hannity Rips CNN’s Jim Acosta For Claiming He Was Tough on Obama With Clip of Softball Question

Fox News’ Sean Hannity ripped CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta over his recent claims that he was just as tough on former President Barack Obama as he is on President Donald Trump.

Acosta, who out of the entire press corps probably boasts the most contentious relationship with the White House, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night and said, “when I covered Barack Obama, I was just as tough on him.”

Acosta pointed to a question he once asked the Obama administration about ISIS that apparently rankled the White House.

Those comments didn’t satisfy Hannity, however, who mocked Acosta’s claims of balance.

“CNN’s Fake News self-righteous cry-baby Jim Acosta, yes, the big liberal leftist will do anything for attention,” Hannity rhapsodized. “He went on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, claimed that he was just as tough on Obama as he is on President Trump. Really?”

In response to the comments, Hannity played a softball question that Acosta asked Obama towards the end of the president’s second term asking him what he wanted to accomplish.

“Yeah, he’s supposed to be the journalist,” Hannity scoffed. “Only thing missing were the pom poms.”
