In a Fox News appearance Tuesday, President Donald Trump‘s former aide, Sebastian Gorka, took an opportunity to address someone who might have been watching: newly-minted White House Communications Director Bill Shine.
During an interview with host Sean Hannity, Gorka warned Shine that the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh would be a tough one.
“I just want to make sure that the White House is listening,” Gorka said to the camera. “Bill Shine, this is going to be a very important communications message because this is going to be worse than [Robert] Bork. I give you the prediction now They will use every dirty trick in the book to block this nomination, but we can get it through.”
Shine, who previously served as the co-president of Fox News, left under a cloud of scrutiny over his handling of sexual harassment complaints. It’s been reported that Hannity had been pushing for Shine to join the White House comms team for a while.
Hannity seemed to agree the Kavanaugh was up against a fight, noting that regarding criticism of a nominee, “it’s gonna happen” and that “it’s predictable.”
