On Tuesday night, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), the ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that his committee has received over 2,000 pages of documents from the Treasury Department as part of their Russia investigation and he is expecting more.
Maddow asked the senator about how his committee is handling the investigating of the finances of President Trump and the people surrounding him like Jared Kushner and whether they were following the “money trails” that allegedly connect to Russia.
Warner first cited that the Russians have a “playbook” that they use to influence American politicians through investments.
But then he said this:
“We’ve got questions in terms of some of the individuals affiliated with Mr. Trump and we’ve made requests to the Treasury Department… and we received over 2,000 pages of documents just recently that we’re reviewing and there’ll be an additional traunch as well.”
