‘Seriously?’ Jake Tapper Confronts Trump Adviser for Saying Trump Is Never Wrong
CNN’s Jake Tapper had the most priceless reaction this afternoon when Donald Trump adviser Michael Cohen bragged about Trump’s memory.
Cohen continued to defend Trump’s inaccurate assertion that thousands of Muslims in New Jersey cheered on 9/11. Tapper pointed out there is absolutely zero evidence to back that up.
Cohen said, “I’ve worked for Mr. Trump now for a long time, and I can tell you that Mr. Trump’s memory is fantastic, and I’ve never come across a situation where Mr. Trump has said something that’s not accurate.”
Tapper responded, “Seriously?”
He was a little bewildered that Cohen was trying to cite random people on Twitter as evidence, saying, “Obviously I have gotten as far as I can with this line of questioning.”
Tapper also confronted Cohen for Trump’s mockery of a disabled reporter, which Cohen adamantly denied he did. He said Trump would never do something like that. After showing the video, Tapper said, “We just saw him do it!”
