Saying “I’m sorry” is never easy to do, but nowhere is it more difficult than in the world of politics, as Late Night with Seth Meyers host Seth Meyers amply demonstrated Wednesday night with a segment called “Sorry, Not Sorry.” In short order, Meyers categorized and took apart insufficient apologies from the Trump supporter who shoved a #BlackLivesMatter protester, Ohio Governor and Kitchen Exodus Catalyst John Kasich, former Secretary of State and email aficionado Hillary Clinton, and that awful sheriff who said that he didn’t need to process more rape kits because most of his reported rapes are actually “consensual sex.”
There was one person whose apology measured up spectacularly, but I’m sure you’ll agree that’s a long way to go for a dubious prize. Watch the clip above, from Late Night with Seth Meyers.
