Seth Meyers Mocks Roy Moore Spox For Citing ‘Group of Non-Accusers’: ‘Literally Their Best Argument’
On Wednesday night, Seth Meyers had some fun at the expense of GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore.
He took shots at President Trump for saying “all you can do is you have to do what you have to do” in defense of the judge.
“All you can do is you have to do what you have to do?” Meyers reacted. “Sounds like a fortune cookie written by someone who is completely out of ideas.”
The Late Night host then mocked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for not being able to say Moore’s name during an interview last weekend, referring to him as “that particular candidate.”
“Did you forget his name?” Meyers asked. “Because here’s a phrase to help you remember it: ‘He likes to wear cordu-ROY and he can’t go to the mall any MOORE.'”
He slammed Moore campaign spokeswoman Jane Porter for citing the “group of non-accusers” who have not accused Moore of sexual misconduct during an interview on CNN.
“That’s literally their best argument,” Meyers grinned.
He added he couldn’t wait to see their ads:
“Did you know there are over 2 and a half million women in Alabama, and just under 2 and a half million have never been sexually assaulted by Roy Moore!”
Meyers concluded that President Trump doesn’t really want to stop crime despite his numerous accusations that Democratic candidate Doug Jones is “weak on crime.” Instead, he wants to “stop immigrants, refugees, or his political opponents.”
