Seth Meyers Mocks Sean Spicer for ‘Lying About Lying’

Seth Meyers‘ A Closer Look segment tonight opens with the Late Night host saying, “Even when they’re out of the White House, Trump’s former aides can’t seem to stop lying.”

He called out Sean Spicer for “lying about lying” for saying Thursday he doesn’t believe he ever lied as Press Secretary. Meyers brought up the Emmys gag and explained, “That was a joke about when you lied about the size of the inauguration crowd, a joke that you told about the lie that you told.”

He also brought up the report that Spicer took a lot of notes, suggesting that since he said some variation of “I have not asked the President” multiple times during his tenure, his eventual tell-all will probably be called I Don’t Know What Happened.
