Seth Meyers Mocks Trump’s ‘Wild New Conspiracy Theory’ About The FBI Spying on His Campaign

On Monday night, Seth Meyers took some shots at President Trump for his tweets over the weekend taking aim at the DOJ and FBI.

Meyers began by mocking Trump’s Twitter rant, playing it sped up since it was “too long” to read.

“By the way, Twitter, did I ever thank you for raising the character limit? I didn’t? Good,” Meyers reacted. “Also, it’s not fair that the president won’t read a two-page press briefing makes us read a six-part Twitter rant. This rant is so long, it technically qualifies as a mini series.”

The Late Night host later accused the president of “spinning a wild new conspiracy theory” about the FBI “implanting a spy” in the Trump campaign.

“I’ve heard Donald Trump say a lot of things, but I never thought one of those things would be ‘hereby,'” Meyers joked.

While Meyers conceded that the FBI did have an informant during the campaign, but he insisted that wasn’t a “spy.”

“You think they really needed a spy to catch you colluding with Russia?” Meyers asked Trump. “All they needed was a microphone and you literally looked into the camera on TV and said, ‘Russia, if you’re listening.'”
