Seth Meyers to CNN: If You Really Want to Go After Trump ‘Stop Inviting Liars on Your Network’

Seth Meyers is apparently unimpressed by CNN’s lawsuit against the Trump administration to get Jim Acosta‘s access to the White House restored. The Late Night host mocked the network for going after a president who “lives for lawsuits.”

CNN sued President Donald Trump and several of his top aides on Tuesday, demanding the White House restore the press credentials of chief correspondent Acosta. The reporter had his hard pass stripped after an intense verbal clash with the president, during which the White House falsely claimed he laid his hands on a female intern.

“Really, you want to go after Trump with a lawsuit?” Meyers asked. “That guy lives for lawsuits. He’s been served more than the Big Mac. Trying to sue him is like trying to drown a fish.”

While Meyers might have a point about the frequency of Trump’s name appearing in lawsuits, the longtime businessman has hardly been successful in his legal brawls.

Meyers then went after a sore spot for CNN: “You really want to go after him, stop inviting liars on your network to tell everybody how great he is.” A photo of Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci was displayed.
