Seth Rogen Says He Denied Paul Ryan a Photo in Front of His Kids: I Said ‘No Way Man!’
Seth Rogen dished about an awkward encounter he recently had with Speaker Paul Ryan.
Rogen began by explaining out of nowhere, he received a phone call from Mitt Romney and invited the actor, who is an advocate for a cure to Alzheimer’s disease, to speak at a summit about brain health, which he agreed to attend.
He told Stephen Colbert how almost all of the attendees were Republicans and during the event, two teenagers approached Rogen and asked to take a picture with him. But then he was “put into a pickle.”
“They said, ‘Our dad wants to meet you.’ And I turn around and Paul Ryan was walking towards me,” Rogen said. “My whole body puckered, I tensed up. And I didn’t know what to do! And he came over, just grabbed my hand. And I’m just, like, ‘I’m shaking his hand, I don’t know what to do.’ And he said, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ And I look over and his kids are standing right there expectantly, clearly fans of mine, and I said, ‘No way, man!'”
“And I couldn’t stop!” Rogen continued. “I said, ‘Furthermore, I hate what you’re doing to the country at this moment, and I count the days till you no longer have one iota of the power that you currently have.’ And I look over and his kids are still standing right there! And I feel very conflicted about this.”
Rogen later mentioned how during his speech, he poked fun at Anthony Scaramucci, who was sitting in the front row.
