‘Sexual Assault, Let’s Say the Words!’: CNN Discussion Goes Nuts Over Megyn Kelly
Tonight on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront, attorney Lisa Bloom and CNN political commentator Kayleigh McEnany got into a pretty heated discussion regarding the accusations of sexual assault leveled against Donald Trump and Newt Ginigrich saying Fox News’ Megyn Kelly was “fascinated with sex.”
Bloom, who is defending a woman accusing Trump of sexual misconduct, took umbrage with McEnany stating that Ginigrich spoke for a lot of women last night in attacking Kelly. She told Mcenany that it was “appalling” to sex-shame Kelly for asking appropriate questions about sexual assault.
The Trump-defending CNN employee shot back, saying that she thought Bloom misunderstood here about Kelly as she appreciates the Fox News host as a journalist. She then stated that voters don’t want to hear about “kissing allegations” against the GOP nominee.
“Sexual assault, let’s say the words we’re talking about,” Bloom yelled out. “When we’re talking about grabbing a woman’s genitals and what fun it is for him because he’s a star and he can get away with it, when over a dozen women have come forward with sexual assault allegations, we are talking about sexual assault. We are not talking about sex.”
The conversation stayed tense and contentious throughout, with McEnany calling Hillary Clinton an “enabler” and Bloom reiterating that a dozen women have corroborated that Trump committed sexual assault.
