Sharpton Goes Off on GOP in Over-the-Top Mockery of ‘Ending Racism’ Tweet

If racism ever were to end, you’d expect the civil rights leaders to be the first to know. So it was kind of shocking for Al Sharpton to discover from the Republican National Committee that racism ended. Sharpton then engaged in some silly, Walter Cronkite-style mockery of the GOP for jumping the gun on everlasting, universal racial harmony in the United States.

Yes, Sharpton went all-out to mock the GOP, replete with a black-and-white filter and the clacking of typewriters in the background, with all the gravitas he could muster, to deliver the not-breaking news to the nation that racism has finally, completely ended in the United States.

Of course, it hasn’t, and the GOP did walk the initial tweet back, but Sharpton didn’t let them off the hook so easy, showing examples of racism and birtherism within the GOP itself to disprove the point outright.
