Shep Smith: Trump’s Classified Info Issue ‘Potentially Far More Dangerous’ Than Anything Hillary Did

In the wake of the revelations that President Donald Trump shared highly classified information with Russian officials during a White House visit last week, some of the president’s old tweets bashing former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for her handling of classified info have come back to the surface.

This afternoon, Fox News anchor Shep Smith highlighted Trump’s hypocrisy on this issue while noting that the situation the president finds himself in today is much more serious. After giving a recap of the latest developments, such as Israel being the source of the info and National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster stating that Trump’s sharing of information was “wholly appropriate,” Smith then pointed out Trump’s previous tweets slamming Clinton.

“Now the sitting president is accused of actions that are potentially far more dangerous,” Smith noted.

“In fact, our Judge Andrew Napolitano says these are the most serious accusations leveled against a sitting president in the modern era,” Smith added, citing a Fox News contributor who has been a pretty solid Trump supporter. (And was used by the administration at one point as a source of proof that Trump’s wiretapping tweets were true.)
