On Tuesday morning’s Fox and Friends, Michele Bachmann was discussing her new memoir and how her family lived in poverty, when co-host Gretchen Carlson revealed the Republican presidential candidate was her babysitter when she grew up in Minnesota. “When I was 12-years-old, I had to get a job babysitting and I paid for my own glasses, my own clothes, my lunch at school. We just didn’t have anything.” “Speaking of babysitting, one of the families you babysat was my family,” Carlson disclosed. “That’s right!” Bachmann exclaimed. “One of the best families ever.”
“Thank you very much, but one of the small world coincidences,” Carlson noted.
A photo of the two lounging around together at a swimming pool was displayed.
“There you are!” gushed Steve Doocy.
“I think I was 15 and you were maybe 6?” Bachmann surmised.
“I was about 6 — 5 or 6,” Carlson recalled. “What I loved about Michele Bachmann — back then Michele Amble — was her long hair, it went all the way down!” “My Cher period,” Bachmann joked. That’s true!”
“And she let me drink grape soda!” Carlson exclaimed. “I was a very good babysitter,” Bachmann acknowledged.
