Josh Hutcherson, the star of the Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire, hosted this week’s Saturday Night Live, and in his honor, the sketch show staged their own version of the film’s fight to the death during Hutcherson’s monologue. Although the joke seems rather obvious, the SNL writers put their own stamp on the dystopian film series’ premise, lampooning its own talent hierarchy by having cast members immediately volunteer to fight to the death when they learn it could earn a little extra screen time.
