‘So Cool,’ ‘So Great,’ ‘Spectacular’: MSNBC Guests, Hosts Gush Over Prince William Driving Himself

The hosts and guests monitoring St. Mary’s Hospital in London and following the developments surrounding the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s new child burst into a chorus of admiration for the British prince when it became clear that he would drive himself, his wife, and his new baby home from the hospital himself.

“That is so cool,” The Daily Beast’s Tom Sykes declared. “That is so great.”

“That is pretty spectacular, it has to be said,” MSNBC host Martin Bashir opined.

“The word you keep hearing is ‘brilliant,’” MSNBC anchor Chris Jansing added. “What a brilliant move.”

“This is a thoroughly modern couple,” she continued. “They could be anyone in your neighborhood, any young couple, of course, if you happen to have impossibly good looking people and couples in your neighborhood.”

Jansing said that, from her vantage point, both the hospital staff and the media became emotional and cheered for the royal couple when they first emerged with their new baby.
