Spicer on Trump Hinting at Canceling Press Briefings: He’s Just ‘Dismayed’ by the ‘Gotcha’ Game

During today’s White House press briefing, one reporter naturally asked Sean Spicer about President Trump‘s suggestion that maybe he end the press briefings:

OANN’s Trey Yingst picked up on those to ask Spicer about that “accuracy” issue.

Spicer said that the White House communications team does the best they can to “get to you the most accurate and up-to-date information.” However, he added, they’re not always able to meet directly with the president, and so they follow up when they can.

Yingst asked, “Is the President considering canceling the daily press briefings?”

Spicer responded by saying that Trump is just “a little dismayed” that there seems to be an attempt to “make it a game of gotcha” to pick apart certain answers.
