‘Standard Definition of Flip-Flop’: Chuck Todd Gets Really Tough with Kaine on Clinton
Chuck Todd really put Tim Kaine on the hot seat about his running mate’s trustworthiness issues. And it was clear Kaine was not going to directly address some of the questions Todd posed.
When confronted about WikiLeaks, Kaine decried the leak as a “Russian government propaganda effort.” Todd asked him if that changes the content of the emails and Kaine said he questions the authenticity of some.
Todd also brought up how one of the emails shows the “standard definition of flip-flop” from Clinton on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. And he even went so far as to ask Kaine if his selection for the ticket was contingent upon him coming out against the TPP. (Kaine said no.)
And then Todd spent a few more minutes trying to nail down what exactly the Clinton-Kaine plan is for TPP.
