Fresh off his gig hosting the local news at Bismarck, North Dakota’s KXMB, Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy traveled even further north to Winnipeg to help TSN cover Canada’s Olympic curling trials. The Anchorman character joined veteran curling commentator Vic Rauter at the Roar of the Rings Sunday and even tried his hand at the unusual sport himself.
“Stay classy, Winnipeg,” Burgundy said from the broadcast booth before revealing what the city’s name means in Latin. Unlike his hometown of San Diego, Burgundy’s translation of the Canadian city had nothing to do with a sea creature’s genitalia.
