Stephanie Ruhle Hits WH For Dismissing Trump Sexual Misconduct Allegations: ‘Nothing’s Been Litigated!’

MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle both heaped praise on US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley and tore into the White House for their separate responses to the numerous women who have accused President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct and harassment.

As you may recall, during an appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation, Haley stated that the female accusers that have come forward against the president “should be heard,” adding that any woman who feels violated or mistreated has every right to speak up. Appearing on MSNBC’s The Beat, Ruhle responded to this by noting that Haley “said something very brave” when the ambassador pointed out that “we need to listen to everyone.”

The MSNBC personality contrasted this with the way White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway have framed the accusations, claiming that they’ve been settled because the American people elected Trump.

“It is rich for the White House to say — Kellyanne Conway and Sarah Sanders — President Trump has denied these accusations, this has been litigated,” she told host Ari Melber. “You’re a lawyer — not me. Nothing’s been litigated. This information was out there before the election and people did vote for President Trump. That doesn’t mean that anything has been litigated.”

She went on to explain that this will be the excuse used by Roy Moore and his supporters to swat away Moore’s accusers should the embattled Alabama GOP Senate nominee win election tomorrow. Ruhle concluded that unless there is an investigation or actionable step made against the president, he will face no repercussions for his past behavior.

A number of Trump’s accusers held a press conference earlier today to detail the allegations they’ve made against the president.
