Stephanie Ruhle Swipes at Hannity Over Rare Morning TV Hit: Part of ‘Agenda’ to ‘Discredit Mueller’

Earlier, we posted about Sean Hannity getting out of bed to make an extremely rare appearance on Fox & Friends.

MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle believes there was a method to the 9 PM star’s madness. Monday morning on MSNBC Live, Ruhle took a swipe at Hannity — saying that he woke up at dawn with the sole purpose of slinging mud at special counsel Robert Mueller.

“I know Sean Hannity is already hitting the wires,” Ruhle said. “That guy doesn’t get out of bed early. He’s on Fox & Friends this morning. Why? Because there’s an agenda here: Discredit Robert Mueller.”

Interestingly, Hannity went out of his way to stress that he doesn’t believe Trump — however much he might dislike Mueller — will actually go through with firing him.

“There’s not gonna be any firing of Mueller,” Hannity said.

Ruhle, though, believes Hannity and his ilk are looking to cast doubt upon Mueller’s efforts. And noting his weekend tweets involving the special counsel’s name, Ruhle stated her view that the effort to discredit the Mueller probe starts with President Donald Trump.

“This is going to be a character assassination of Robert Mueller and everyone working on the investigation,” she said. “Calling them Democrats. Saying they’re tied to Hillary Clinton.”
