Sure, Hillary Clinton has the support of the second-worst Batman, but as of Tuesday morning, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump can boast the endorsement of Superman, or at least one of the top eleven actors to ever portray the Man of Steel. On Tuesday morning’s Fox and Friends, actor Dean Cain wrapped up a segment with the friends by revealing that he is a “Trump guy,” although his endorsement sounded a lot more like an ad for Paul Ryan:
Cain: I’m not voting for Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton, so I guess that makes me a Trump guy.
You weren’t before?
Cain: I wasn’t at all. He didn’t have me convinced. Paul Ryan is a smart guy. A lot of people don’t like him at this point in time or call him a RINO, but I think he’s extremely intelligent. I got to sit with him three or four hours, before he was a nominee for the vice president on the ticket.
He’s a great guy.
Cain: A great guy. I think he has a real clear head. I think they’ll come out of the meeting they’ll have and they will be united.
Donald Trump said he didn’t really know Paul Ryan, so it’s good that they’re going to sit down on Thursday and let’s see what happens.
Cain: I think it will be dynamic and positive.
Cain was, of course, the star of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, a 1990s television adaptation of the famous Kryptonian’s story.
