Tamron Hall Battles MSNBC Guest Over Whether Obama Or Christie Loves New Jersey More
In a discussion about conservative critics of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s embrace of President Barack Obama in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall battled columnist for The Hill, A.B. Stoddard, over which politician was demonstrating a sincere affection for the residents of the Garden State.
After asking Stoddard for her impressions on the criticisms that have been directed at Christie for allowing the president to tour damaged areas of New Jersey, Hall pounced on the columnist for her suggestion that Obama’s commitment to the state’s citizens was slightly more political than Christie’s.
Hall bristled at the suggestion that, if Christie had not praised Obama’s handling of the disaster on the East Coast, federal aid would not have been as forthcoming. Stoddard responded by saying that she believed both the president and Gov. Christie were sincere in their efforts to mitigate the damage wrought by Hurricane Sandy.
