Tapper: Trump ‘Stunningly Dismissive’ About Saudi Arabia, Has Been Harsher on Stormy, Elizabeth Warren, Taylor Swift

CNN’s Jake Tapper opened his show this afternoon with Jamal Khashoggi and President Donald Trump‘s “stunningly dismissive tone about any possible Saudi leadership role” in his disappearance and likely killing.

“The President is denying that he’s giving cover in any way to the Saudis, insisting he simply wants to find out what happened,” Tapper said. “But that’s about as tough as the President was willing to get.”

In an interview with the AP yesterday, not only did Trump not want to blame Saudi Arabia yet, but he said it’s a case of “guilty until proven innocent” just like Brett Kavanaugh.

And as Tapper said, “He has had harsher words in the last week or so for Stormy Daniels, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and Taylor Swift than he has had for the Saudis responsible for the likely butchering and slaughter of a Washington Post columnist.”
