‘Thanks, Obama’: Colbert Brings Back Old Character to Send Off President Obama

Last night Stephen Colbert brought back his old Comedy Central conservative character to send off President Obama on his final full day in office.

Colbert had to give the president some credit for expanding the drone program and spying on American citizens, but aside from a few things, “every year of the Obama regime felt like he was strangling a bald eagle with the American flag while taking a dump on an apple pie.”

He explained that Obama made it very easy for conservatives to rally together for the past eight years…

..which was why he ended up saying, “Please don’t go.”

Why? Because, Colbert said, without Obama as a foil he’s not really sure about what he believes.
