The View is not impressed that Mike Huckabee decided to take shots at the show after he joined the ladies for a discussion on Wednesday.
The former Arkansas governor and his daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, appeared on the program yesterday, where they faced a number of tough questions about how they can defend President Trump‘s various controversial statements, falsehoods, and objectionable behavior over the years. The elder Huckabee is a contributor for Fox News, and today, appeared on Fox Business to take issue with the talk show’s questioning and the “anger and irrational hatred towards the president.”
The View took notice of Huckabee’s badmouthing, and they were not particularly happy with it.
“We really worked hard to do a fair interview, and I resent that you would do that,” said Whoopi Goldberg. “Why are we ‘irrational?’ We asked you questions and told you how we felt, and we allowed you to do the same.”
As the panel continued to discuss, co-host and Fox News alumnus Jedediah Bila said Huckabee was following a pattern where right-wingers will briefly venture into the “liberal cesspool” before retreating to friendly territory and talking about how “out of touch” the other side is.
“That doesn’t work here, Mike, because I am a conservative and I didn’t vote for Trump,” said Bila. “You don’t get to say you came here and the ‘liberal media’ opposed you. I sat right here and it’s not irrational that I opposed Donald Trump. Donald Trump’s character was questionable.”
