The Five Hosts Celebrate 500th Show By Remembering Their Favorite On-Air Moments

The show that began its life as a temporary replacement for Glenn Beck hit a major milestone today with it’s 500th episode on Fox News. Six of the seven rotating co-hosts (minus Juan Williams) celebrated with a cake and reminisced about their favorite on-air moments since the show debuted in July 2011.

Dana Perino highlighted the time on the 4th of July when she got the chance to dunk Bob Beckel in a tank of water. And Greg Gutfeld, who never misses an opportunity to rib his good friend Perino, fondly remembered the show “that never aired” when she “showed up drunk and passed out.

Eric Bolling said he “loves every show,” Beckel recalled one of his infamous f-bombs and Kimberly Guilfoyle remembered her chicken wing eating contest with Beckel.

The Five has racked up impressive ratings over its first 500 shows, averaging over 2 million total viewers and 343K in the 25-54 demo so far in 2013, making it the #3 show in all of cable news behind Fox’s The O’Reilly Factor and Hannity. Since its launch the show’s audience has increased 77% in total viewers and nearly 25% in the demo.

In recent months, the show’s highly-opinionated co-hosts have managed to make some headlines of their own, from Beckel taking on CBS’ The Amazing Race to Bolling battling Jon Stewart and Gutfeld challenging Jim Carrey.
