The Five Hosts Mock Dan Bongino For Demanding Savannah Guthrie ‘Resign in Disgrace’

Dan Bongino got a little too excited with his punditry as guest host of The Five on Thursday, railing against NBC News host Savannah Guthrie for her interviews with the parties involved in the Covington Catholic story.

After The Five aired clips of Guthrie’s questions, on the Today show, for both Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann and Native American elder Nathan Phillips, the always-shouty Bongino went off.

“Savannah’s interview was a complete disgrace to humankind,” Bongino, a former NRATV host, declared confidently. He then focused on Guthrie’s question for Sandmann about his MAGA hat: “Savannah Guthrie should resign in disgrace after asking such a stupid question.”

“Did you watch the whole interview?” asked co-host Marie Harf.

Later in the segment, Bongino’s performative excitement faced some mockery from the regular hosts of The Five.

“I also think that Savannah tried to be delicate in both interviews and I don’t know if that was the right thing to do, but I certainly don’t think she should resign,” said Dana Perino, laughing.

“A disgrace to all of humanity!” exclaimed Jesse Watters.

“She should go to jail, Dana!” cried Greg Gutfeld.
