The Five to Obama: Not Fox’s Fault That ‘No One Watches’ MSNBC

“For some reason, President Obama just can’t get us off his mind.” The Five’s Eric Bolling was referring to the entire Fox News channel Friday afternoon, when he played a series of clips in which President Barack Obama called out the network for constantly calling him out. It happened again this week, in additional material released from the New Yorker’s profile of the president, in which Obama said, “I’m not the caricature that you see on Fox News or Rush Limbaugh.”

Bob Beckel had one idea about why Obama “can’t get us out of his mind,” saying, “because every day, he’s getting bludgeoned.” But he also held himself up as a Fox personality who “strongly supports Obama in some areas.”

“When they say there is this one television station that is dedicated to just, you know, opposing him all the time,” Dana Perino said, “look, they do have a television station that is dedicated solely to promoting him. And it’s not our fault that no one watches it.”

As Bolling added, Fox is “fair and balanced” and “takes both sides,” using the show’s one left-leaning co-host, Beckel, as “proof of that.”
