Following the pulled vote on the American Health Care Act (ACHA), Joe Scarborough took aim at Steve Bannon by calling the White House advisor a “hack” who should “go back to running [his] website.”
Scarborough used Monday’s Morning Joe to talk about how he was not impressed by the White House’s effort last week to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Scarborough was particularly incensed over reports about a meeting where Bannon demanded the House Freedom Caucus’ support for ACHA and told them that they had “no choice” but to vote for it.
Scarborough blasted Bannon at multiple points throughout the show, saying “the stupidity of Steve Bannon knows no end,” and that the former Breitbart chief is an “idiot” who “blew it” during the meeting.
“I will call Steve Bannon a hack. When you go in and you threaten members, you’re not only a hack, you’re stupid at your game,” Scarborough said. “This is politics 101. Bannon failed miserably. He is the biggest loser.”
Ever since ACHA was shelved in Congress, President Trump has been blasting the House Freedom Caucus by saying that their skepticism and refusal to support the bill allowed the Affordable Care Act to survive.
