The View’s Whoopi Goldberg Gives Her Side of Jeanine Pirro Spat: She Called Us All a Word I Can’t Say on TV
Whoopi Goldberg opened The View today addressing her on-air and off-air arguments with Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro.
To recap: the Fox News host was on the daytime show yesterday to promote her new book. Things got incredibly heated between Goldberg and Pirro, and Goldberg ended the segment with a “Say goodbye! I’m done!”
Pirro later claimed that off-stage, Goldberg got in her face and said, “F you, get the F out of this building!”
But as Goldberg said this morning, “she left a lot of pertinent stuff out.”
She said Pirro was already upset when she showed up “because Ana Navarro was here instead of Joy.”
And after the segment ended, Goldberg continued, “she they called everybody at the table a name I cannot repeat on TV and said it in front of the audience.”
She confirmed she did have a confrontation with Pirro off-stage, admitting she herself said some “choice words I cannot repeat.”
“I did not spit on her,” Goldberg added. “I did not intimidate her. No one chased her out of here… but she did leave here cursing at the people who book the show. She cursed at the guys who do the security for the show.”

UPDATE –– 1:20 pm ET: Navarro confirmed Goldberg’s comments:
I was there, backstage @TheView, when this happened. I heard it. It is exactly as @WhoopiGoldberg described it here. I was told Pirro, who I’d never met, didn’t want me there. I was civil to her on & off camera.
Now, can we go back to talking about how Trump is owned by Putin? https://t.co/nJT53zYPo5

The Daily Beast, meanwhile, is reporting the following:
Indeed, a witness—who asked not to be further identified—told The Daily Beast that after the segment ended and Goldberg walked off-stage, Pirro ripped off her microphone while the crew members hovered around her as she shouted, “Those cocksuckers! This is exactly what I told them would happen.”
