A witness to the horrifying shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando last night spoke to CNN’s Jake Tapper this morning about what he witnessed.
Christopher Hansen said when he heard the loud bangs, he at first assumed it was part of a song, but then “there was bodies falling down, the guy next to me was shot.”
He said he dropped down immediately and didn’t look up until he made it outside, where people were “running and screaming… like a scene from a horror movie.”
Hansen said there was “so much chaos” and there were people who were escaping through the attic, the AC vents, etc. He even recalled how he was sitting by a man who was shot in the back, telling him, “Stay with me.”
Hansen also affirmed to Tapper that the time the gunman opened fire––around 2 a.m.––is a time when the club is generally packed.
