Hillary Clinton gave a very lengthy answer at CNN’s Democratic town hall tonight to the question of fighting back against Republican attacks against her. She quipped, “I’ve had a lot of practice.”
She went all the way back to the 90s to recall how she’s been surprised by right-wing attacks for years. Clinton said, “They play to keep, they play to destroy. They are constantly doing whatever they can to win.”
Anderson Cooper brought up her infamous line from the 90s and asked, “Do you still believe there’s a vast right-wing conspiracy?” Clinton laughed and asked, “Don’t you?”
She said it’s “even better-funded” now and said it’s pretty evident Republican billionaires and conservative groups are trying to own the country.
“At this point,” Clinton added, “it’s probably not correct to say it’s a conspiracy because it’s out in the open.”
