This Former Governor Is Joining MSNBC as a Contributor

Former Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer is joining MSNBC as a contributor. Schweitzer has made occasional appearances on MSNBC recently, but this week it was made official when Schweitzer appeared on The Ed Show Wednesday in his new role. He told the AP, “When the Democrats have it wrong, I’ll say it and when the Republicans have it wrong, I’ll say it.”

Schweitzer has previously hinted he might run for president in 2016, and despite MSNBC’s reputation as a liberal, Obama-loving network, Schweitzer recently did not have anything to say when asked to name a single positive thing President Obama‘s done.

Schweitzer, however, wasn’t always so keen about MSNBC. Last October, in the midst of a guest-hosting sting on Crossfire, he said that Fox News and MSNBC are “hair on fire” networks completely focused on bolstering one side or the other and leave no room for substantive conversation.
