Tina Fey made an appearance on Weekend Update Summer Edition and weighed in on the violence that took place in Charlottesville, VA last weekend.
“It broke my heart to see these evil forces descend on Charlottesville,” she said as a graduate of the University of Virginia where the rally occurred.
Fey then stated she felt “sick” after hearing President Trump‘s “many sides” remarks.
“I’ve seen Raiders of the Lost Ark,” she elaborated. “And I wasn’t confused by it.”
Fey mentioned the nine scheduled Alt-Right rallies that are supposed to take place on Saturday and noted that one of them was going to be in New York City.
“Part of me hopes that these neo-Nazis do try it in New York City. Like I hope they try it and get the ham salad kicked out of them by a bunch of drag queens,” she said. “Cause you know what a drag queen still is? A 6’4 black man.”
But she also expressed that she didn’t want any more good people to get hurt, so she urged America to not go to these rallies and instead go to a local business (she suggests “a Jewish-run bakery… or an African-American-run bakery”), buy an entire sheet cake with the American flag on it, and “just eat it.”
While eating the cake, she went on numerous political rants, targeting people like “Yard Sale Barbie” Ann Coulter and Speaker Paul Ryan for being a p*ssy and not tagging Trump on Twitter when he condemned racism.
“Who drove the car into the crowd, Hillary’s emails?!” she exclaimed.
Fey then slammed Trump for his defense of the Confederate statues.
“Donny Johnny says we need to defend our country’s ‘beautiful’ Confederate monuments when you know he would take them down in a second if he thought he could build some poorly-constructed condos on the spot,” she insisted.
She called “sheet-caking” a “grassroots movement” adding that most women she knows “have been doing it once a week since the election.”
