Tonight Show, The Force Awakens Cast Sing A Capella Medley of Star Wars Music
Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon‘s games and gags have become one of the most recognizable aspects of his tenure in late night. Not everyone is a fan, but when it comes to music, he and his house band The Roots create some incredible segments. Like the latest edition of their “A Capella” series, which enlisted the help of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens cast to sing some of the series’ most memorable music.
Newcomers Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie and Lupita Nyong’o are all there, with the heroes humming the opening crawl and the villains singing “The Imperial March.” Hell, even the droids (including newbie BB-8) show up for a brief snippet of the cantina music.
Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill, but that’s okay because legacy cast members Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford show up towards the end to help conclude the segment.
Sure, Ford’s only in it for the last few seconds, and he isn’t beaming with the same amount of excitement that the newcomers are. Then again, he had to deal with the always excitable Fallon in order to participate.
