Trailer for the Final Season of Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown: ‘It’s Like A Punch In The Gut’
This fall will see the final season of Anthony Bourdain‘s Parts Unknown on CNN, and the last new television from the great, late author, chef, explorer, and host, who committed suicide just this year.
It will be a short season, just six episodes. Too short, over too soon, but we’re guessing worth every minute. Which is a fitting tribute in itself.
W. Kamau Bell, who travels with Bourdain for the first episode in Kenya, narrates the emotional trailer, released on Monday. “Everybody who had dreams of traveling with Tony,” he said, “it’s exactly as cool as you think it is.”
“He wasn’t making TV for TV’s sake. He wasn’t just doing a job, this was his life’s work,” said Bell.
“The greater context of the show and the reality and the fact that Tony’s gone, makes that like, it’s like a punch in the gut,” he said.
