On Tuesday night, Trevor Noah went after Fox News for their coverage of the Las Vegas shooting.
Noah began by describing the shooter Stephen Paddock as a 64-year-old multi-millionaire with no criminal record.
“Right now, he doesn’t fit any profile of any mass shooter, and you know who’s having a hard time processing all of that information?” Noah asked. “The good people at Fox News.”
The Daily Show host then played clips of Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Brit Hume, prefacing that since Sunday’s shooting “didn’t fit into any of Fox’s established narratives,” they “couldn’t politicize it’ and because they can’t “nor should anyone else.”
“What kind of terrible people would push a political agenda the day after a mass shooting, a shooting like with Orlando?” Noah asked.
He then played clips of Kilmeade, Guilfoyle, and Hume talking about Islamic extremism the day after the Orlando shooting.
“So clearly Fox’s whole ‘don’t politicize it’ is BS,” Noah declared.
Noah went after Jesse Watters for connecting the Las Vegas shooting to the NFL protestors kneeling during the national anthem.
“I hear Watters’ point. You’ve got to show respect to the police,” Noah conceded. “Personally, I’d rather respect the police by reducing the number of guns that risk killing police, but yeah- I mean not kneeling is good too. Do whatever you want.”
He also took aim at Sean Hannity, or as he called him “Spongebob Squarehead” for boasting his training with firearms.
“According to Sean Hannity, what really stops a bad guy with a gun is a Sean Hannity with a gun,” Noah quipped.
