Trevor Noah: The GOP Has ‘Bulldozed Through the Me Too Movement’ to Confirm Kavanaugh

Trevor Noah weighed in on the seemingly inevitable confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Noah began by pointing out how the White House “loves” the conclusions made by the FBI investigation, which was that there was no corroboration that proves the sexual misconduct allegations that were made against Kavanaugh.

“I don’t know if we can call a five-day investigation sufficient,” Noah said. “Although I get why the White House thinks it is. I mean, they’ve never spent five consecutive days on anything.”

The Daily Show host thought that the investigation looked like a “sham,” pointing out how several people who weren’t interviewed by the FBI including Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. He went on to say that it didn’t matter how “thorough” the investigation was since it was meant to give “cover” for swing vote Senators Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (A-AK).

“Basically, Mitch McConnell conducted this process the way a parent ‘checks’ under their kid’s bed for monsters,” Noah told his audience. “And you can tell McConnell wasn’t trying to find any monsters from Day One.

Noah added that “like it or not” that “Cocaine Mitch has done it again.”

“He successfully stole Obama‘s Supreme Court seat and now he’s bulldozed through the Me Too movement to get Judge Keg Stand onto the Supreme Court,” Noah continued. “We may as well go out and get drunk like Brett Kavanaugh and try to forget that this ever happened… like Brett Kavanaugh.”
